Historically used for maritime communication, pennants make a fun addition to small traditional craft. They’re a delight to see flying from the yard of a lug sail, head of a triangular sail, or bare masthead. A pennant indicates wind speed and direction for a docked or beached vessel, and greatly increases visibility of small craft when rowing or paddling.
